- It is the responsibility of every club member to read and familarise themselves with the rules and regulations laid out.
- Membership is Not transferable
- Visitors are not allowed on any of the club water's, this includes family, friends and non-members.
- Dogs, Picknicks and open fires are strictly forbidden.
- Junior members under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult member at all times.
- All gates must be kept locked at all times.
- All members must have a current Natural Resources Wales "Rod License" and be available for inspection at all times on club waters.
- Members may fish a maximum of 2 rods at Pentre and Tre-Mostyn. At Llyn Helyg fishing is limited to 2 rods on pegs 1-12 but 3 rods may be fished on pegs 12 -25. (The beaches and the Far Bank)
- Membership Card / Book and Rod License must be carried at all times and available for inspection upon request.
- All Landing Nets, Keep Nets & Fish Cradles Must be dipped in the antiseptic dip provided at each lake prior to fishing
- Fishing is confined to Dedicated Peg Only. For Helyg see new map showing Swims and dedicated Swim Areas.
- All large fish should be unhooked in a suspended landing net or on an unhooking mat or cradle. No fish should be placed on the ground or carried to another peg.
- Under No Circumstances should baited Lines be left in the water unattended at any times.
- Any rods left unaccompanied on a peg for a period of more than one hour may be removed to make way for another member.
- Keep Nets are permitted at Tre-Mostyn and Only at Pentre Ffynnon in a scheduled Club Match, Carp over 5lb should be kept in a separate net.
- Keep Nets must be a minimum length of six foot and manufactured to an environment friendly standard and deemed suitable for the purpose
- Keep nets must be emptied at least every six hours.
- No fish of any species should be taken to or from any club waters except when authorised in writing by the committee
- Barbless Hooks ONLY to be used on all club waters
- Bait Restrictions: Live bait for Pike and Tiger Nuts are Banned from all Club Waters at all times.
- Braided Line is Only allowed as Main Line and all Hook Lengths must be Nylon Except on Llyn Helyg where "Fish Friendly" round, coated braid is allowed for Carp Fishing.
- When fishing for PIKE barbless hooks and line of not less than 15lb breaking strain are to be used together with a wire trace. Members must be fully equipped with a large landing net, large unhooking mat, 12 inch forceps, pliers and cutters to handle fish safely and quickly.
- No more than two rods to be used for pike fishing and no pike to be retained in keepnets.
- All carp feeder or ledger rigs must be Free Running and ‘fish friendly’. No fixed rigs are allowed.
- At Llyn Helyg, no long-range carp fishing is allowed off the jetty or the corner peg (peg 8).
- At Pentre Ffynnon casting distance is limited to half way across the pond if another member is fishing, or arrives to fish, on an ‘opposite’ peg.
- No member or visitor may enter into any correspondence with the media on matters concerning exceptional catches, or club business, without prior permission of the committee.
- All members must be aware that the club rents the fishing rights on all three waters from Mostyn Estates and all members are responsible for maintaining good relations with all estate officers or agents.
All members should act as club bailiffs and any member witnessing any breach of the above rules must challenge the offender(s)
and/or report the incident to the committee.
- PARKING
Members’ vehicles must only be parked on land designated for such purpose. Vehicles should not obstruct other members or any access to property.
- At Llyn Helyg parking on the near-side is restricted to the parking areas behind the jetty and near the boathouse. Far-side parking is limited to the hard-standing area just within the double gates.
- At Pentre Ffynnon parking is limited to the car park area at the Top.
- At Tre Mostyn parking should be along the hedge to the left of the gate but members should be aware that the field can become very soft in winter when parking on the road may be a safer option.
DROP OFF / PICKUP
At Tre Mostyn members ARE allowed to drive down the field to drop off and pick up their gear by peg 5 or 6, but CANNOT park there and must park back up along the hedge. However, Registered Disabled (Blue Badge) members ARE allowed to park down the field and this Must be on Display.
At Pentre Ffynnon members ARE allowed to drive down to behind peg 1 to drop off and pick up their gear but CANNOT park there and must park in the car park. Disabled members Displaying a Blue Badge are Allowed to park at the drop off point.
BOATS AND THE BOATHOUSE
- The boats at Pentre Ffynnon and Tre Mostyn are used for maintenance work and are NOT available to members for angling.
- The two punts kept in the lower boathouse at Llyn Helyg are currently NOW available for members to use for Angling. Two Anglers Wearing Life Jackets Must be on the Punt to fish AT ALL TIMES and MUST complete the SIGN OUT SHEET before using the punts.
- Members Cannot Use their own boats on Llyn Helyg.
LITTER
- Litter of all types must be removed by members on conclusion of fishing.
- Any member with litter around his/her peg will be held responsible for that litter and will be reported to the committee if they do not clear it up.
- Loose line can injure or kill wildlife. It is every member’s responsibility to ensure that loose line is collected and removed.
NOTICEBOARDS
Noticeboards are in place at all Venues and have up to date information and copies of all Rules.

WORK PARTIES
At present there are no requirement for senior members to complete a maintenance work party but the committee retain the right to introduce them if deemed necessary.
